Cutting Edge Community Foundation Backpack Project!

The Cutting Edge Community Foundation presents the CECF Backpack Project. Through generous donations from members and community partners, we offer free backpacks* and school supplies for Youth Members every year!

New Youth Members who open their account during the week of their branch’s Backpack Project** receive a bonus opening deposit of $25!

Lewiston-area backpack distribution week is July 13 – 17 during regular business hours! Plus an after-hours pickup time & pizza party Wednesday, July 15 from 5:00-6:30!
Milwaukie-area backpack distribution week is August 10 -14 during regular business hours! Plus an after-hours pickup time & pizza party Wednesday, August 12 from 5:00-6:30!

During each week of the CECF Backpack Project, the branches will have claw machines and a chance to win a $100 Visa Gift Card*** for other back-to-school essentials.

*Backpacks available while supplies last on a first-come, first-served basis. **$25 opening deposits available for Lewiston members July 13 through 17, 2026 only. $25 opening deposits available for Milwaukie members August 10 through 14, 2026 only. ***Internal Revenue Service regulations require CECU to report the bonus and/or gift card winnings on a form 1099-INT. You will receive a form 1099-INT and any applicable taxes are the responsibility of the account holder. Offer subject to change without notice and may be terminated based on response.
