School Success Backpack Donation Program

 

It’s time to head back to school!

Thanks to the generosity of our members and credit union partners, we were able to distribute 191 backpacks to our Youth Members in 2022! Eligibility to receive a backpack and school supplies is simply to have a Youth Account at Cutting Edge.

Our 2022 backpack distributions events will be held:

You can help our youth member community, ensuring they have a successful school year by donating cash or new school supplies! Cutting Edge provides a stylish new backpack* to every school-aged youth member – and we need your help to stuff them with the school supplies they need.

Please consider donating cash or new, unused school supplies at your local branch. You may also contact the credit union to make a donation directly from one of your Cutting Edge accounts so you never have to leave your home! A suggested donation of $30 provides a youth member with a backpack filled with school supplies, but any donation amount is welcome and greatly appreciated!

Supplies needed for each backpack include:

• 6-pack of glue sticks
• 24-pack of Crayola crayons
• 12-pack of #2 pencils
• 2 Pink Pearl erasers
• 2 or more spiral notebooks (wide or college ruled)
• 2 or more composition notebooks (wide or college ruled)
• 1 package of low-odor dry erase markers
• 1 pair of scissors
• 1 set of Crayola Washable Water Colors
• 1 box of Kleenex or facial tissues

Optional items needed include:

• Pencil boxes or pouches
• Ear buds
• Lunch boxes
• Protractors or compasses
